SECTION VI
Economics & Governance
From extractive growth to regenerative prosperity and just institutions.
Contemporary economies and governance systems are grappling with inequality, ecological limits, social fragmentation, and declining trust in institutions. Many traditional societies operated with principles of reciprocity, stewardship, long-term responsibility, and distributed decision-making embedded in custom, ritual, and community structure.
This domain examines how social systems can become more regenerative and just. It brings together economists, political scientists, legal scholars, historians, and community leaders to explore alternative indicators of prosperity, participatory governance, commons management, circular economies, and the ethical foundations of institutions.
Global SaTA does not advocate returning to the past, but distills durable principles from traditional social organisation and tests their relevance for modern policy and governance.
