SECTION I

Foundations

How humans know, validate, and transmit truth across cultures and generations.

Global SaTA begins with the foundations of knowledge: how human beings across civilisations have asked, pursued, and validated what is true. Epistemology—the study of knowledge itself—reveals that science is not the only rigorous way of knowing. Traditional systems have developed sophisticated methods of evidence generation, transmission, and verification, often over millennia.

This domain brings together historians of science, philosophers, anthropologists, theologians, and Indigenous knowledge holders to examine how different civilisations construct reliable understanding. Topics include oral tradition as archive, embodied and experiential knowledge, the role of ritual and symbolism, comparative logic systems, and the validation standards appropriate to different kinds of inquiry.

By understanding the foundations of knowledge, Global SaTA creates space for genuine dialogue between modern scientific method and time-tested traditional epistemologies, without collapsing one into the other.
